So everyone must be very excited right now! With India’s most loved festival, Diwali around the corner, you guys must be busy cleaning the house, buying gifts for family and friends and most important SHOPPING!! Yeah that’s my favourite part too! So typical, right! In just couple of days India will be shining like a star with all the lights, Glittery clothes and smiley happy faces! I just love this time of the year. I always look forward to spend Diwali with my family and friends and share happiness with them.
Let’s get to the fashion part of this blog, those who know me would know that I’m not very fond of Indian Traditional attire or very loud shiny garments. My style is very subtle and mostly casual. So my idea for a Diwali outfit is also very casual and understated with just a pinch of glitter. Why I wanted to go casual? Just because I want to spend most of the time with my family and friends and not on worrying about my clothes getting ruined. And I want something that will be easy to handle. So, I decided to pair a maxi top, which is major right now and paired it with a slit maxi skirt that has lace details and to make it festive I added a gem bracelet and a pair of strappy heels. Heels and right accessories can completely change the look of your ensemble any day . So that’s what I was looking for, comfortable yet classy look for my very casual Diwali.
Same goes for Avi, He is also a kind of guy where comfort is the priority in what he wears. He does not like to spend on Indian Traditional garments that he will wear just once. For his very casual Diwali, we paired a longline T-shirt with earthy coloured trousers, faux leather chappals and a scarf wrapped around his neck. Longlines for guys are also trending very much right now. And you can easily substitute it for a sassy kurta. That will be comfortable and stylish at the same time. You don’t have to spend big bucks to get one. And just pair them differently to create more looks out of it. Its just a matter of mix n match in fashion.
So thats all for our outfit idea for Diwali. How do you like it? Tell us in Comments below.
Have a Safe and Happy Diwali everyone!
